Wendy McRae Civil CelebrantA TOP FINALIST FOR CELEBRANT OF THE YEAR 2013 TO 2016 AND CONSIDERED ONE OF MELBOURNE'S MOST TRUSTWORTHY AND DEPENDABLE CELEBRANTS ... let me make your day SPECIAL
I write individual, personalised ceremonies that reflect who you are and what you love about each other. A special occasion requires a relaxed approach and personalized planning, whether the ceremony is small and intimate or casual and contemporary. You can look forward to your special day with the calm confidence and knowledge that all will go as planned.
Your wedding is a special experience you share with friends and family. An occasion that you cherish and reminisce about for years to come.
All couples have different ideas for their wedding day - some couples know exactly what they want and some arrive completely fresh and knowing very little, open to advice and suggestions.
More and more couples are turning engagements into weddings. I've been happily involved in crafting the surprise element of a beautiful ceremony at a BBQ, a dinner, a gathering and even stood 'hiding' in an ensuite for 30 minutes waiting for the signal!
- Together with your ideas and my experience, we can create a personalized and memorable wedding day. Each couple is unique twosome; your ceremony will be tailor-made. Let's hope current legislation changes soon so that anyone in love can marry, regardless of gender.
- I embrace the diversity that Melbourne holds and welcome enquiries from people from other cultures and overseas.
- I provide an easy to follow resource book to give you plenty of ideas and suggestions.
- I supply all legal documents and they are completed and submitted to BDM registry promptly.
- I can offer advice on music and any other rituals you may want to consider.
- I provide parasols when it's hot and umbrellas when it's wet !

I prepare all the paperwork for the Notice of Intention of Marriage (document required by BDM) and verify your original documents; i.e. birth certificates, foreign passports (born outside Australia) and documents of previous dissolution of marriage if required.I provide a wide selection of readings, vows, poems, verses, rituals and suggestions for music. I craft and prepare through many drafting processes, a personally written ceremony for you to read and edit before the final copy. I encourage a ceremony rehearsal for you and your bridal party to make you feel at ease so you anticipate your special day.
Losing someone you love or care deeply about is very painful. So, adjusting to life after this loss is never easy. A funeral is a symbolic celebration of a life and this ceremony should reflect the life and spirit of the individual. It is important to ensure that the ceremony is one that gives support, comfort and hope as the grief process unfolds in its many different forms.
I can't WAIT for current legislation to change so that you can marry the 'love of your life' regardless of gender! My daughter will be delighted to marry her partner !
If, like a growing number of parents, you would like to celebrate the birth of your child, a naming ceremony or simple 'naming day' is becoming increasingly popular. It is the event at which an infant or a child is given a name or names. It is a celebration that can occur anywhere from days after a birth to several months of age or years.
This is a joyous occasion where God-parents, Grandparents, family and friends get together to celebrate the new life and the new name.
Sometimes, after a particularly difficult crisis in their lives, some couples choose to renew their vows. This may be due to a time of separation or an illness and they feel they want to re-affirm their commitment to one another.
And some just want to show each other how much they love them.
